IronSight is looking for two Fluid Management Advisors to join its Managed Services team.

This role will regularly liaise with our clients operating organization including internal and third-party service providers utilized by IronSight clients. The focus of this position will be driving operational efficiency and effectiveness with the IronSight platform.

In this role you will:

  • Perform a supervisory and advisory role focused on fluid hauling, specialty cleaning, waste handling and related activities at a client's oilsands operation near Foster Creek
  • Provide expertise to review and confirm high-risk or complex jobs, allowing routine requests to flow directly to Service Provider, effectively supporting IronSight tickets as required through to completion
  • Act as a leader through field presence, structured engagements, observations and inspections, hazard identification, and coaching of Service Providers
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and be the front-line communicator to ensure all services are consistently scheduled and dispatched to safely meet predetermined plans

  • Hourly Rate: $50-$60 per hour depending on experience

What You'll Do

The Fluid Management Advisor duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Be a visible safety leader in the field through engagements, hazard identification, behaviour observations, TDG spot checks and coaching of Service Providers
  • Review complex or higher-risk maintenance requests before a vendor is assigned, checking scope, resources, equipment fit and execution risk
  • Ensure tickets are accurate from request to closeout, including dates, equipment, crews, status, field tickets, attachments, exceptions and any rescheduled, rejected or incomplete work
  • Take part in meetings, schedule reviews, risk assessments, critical job reviews, and quote reviews to keep IronSight matching current plan
  • Develop and validate pre-job scopes, including procedures, CSE, LOTO walkdowns and waste/disposal planning. Recommend the right cleaning method and equipment based on material, access, pressure, temperature, volume and complexity.
  • Coordinate vendors for all types of cleaning scopes, confirm crew readiness and equipment fit, and monitor Service Provider quality, safety, corrective actions and compliance with Client expectations
  • Support and verify specialty cleaning, hydrotest, dewatering, spill response and fluid-transfer work. Inspect vac, hydro-vac, pressure, combo and fluid-haul units along with pumps, hoses, filtration and containment.
  • Collaborate with IronSight Client and third parties on requests for services or equipment, including communicating information such as work orders, changing requirements and priorities, or other messages to clients, work crews, field inspectors, supervisors, or emergency personnel
  • Confirm cleaning meets scope, contract and stakeholder requirements, send Service Providers back to fix deficiencies, and complete FMT checklist signoff before handover.
  • Act as secondary sustainment support by coaching users, spotting training gaps, escalating configuration or process issues, and reinforcing that using the platform is mandatory.
  • Quickly and effectively communicate changes in the business to key stakeholders to ensure we are providing top-of-the-line service to our clients.

  • Ensure all activities follow IronSight rules, regulations, policies, and procedures along with those of our clients
  • Overtime may be required, night shift not expected
  • Complete other duties as assigned

What you Bring

  • 5-8+ years of fluid management experience in oil and gas in a field supervisory or dispatch role, including experience with fluid hauling, maintenance support, speciality cleaning, and waste handling
  • Strong working knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements, TDG, WHMIS, H2S, confined-space entry, LOTO, permitting, contractor safety expectations and applicable site standards (First Aid, TDG, WHMIS, and H2S certifications required)
  • Working knowledge of IronSight or similar dispatch/work-management technology, including request intake, assignment, vendor acceptance, mobile execution, status tracking, field ticketing, attachments, exception handling and reporting
  • High school diploma required
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a skilled trade, business, logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent considered an asset
  • Proficiency in the English Language, with the ability to comprehend and communicate complex plans and instructions in a clear and logical manner
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when relaying information in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with a team and work independently
  • Strong ability to multitask, work through competing priorities and high-pressure situations, and make decisions that have a significant financial impact within a limited timeframe
  • Experience in SAGD, oil sands, industrial maintenance, field logistics, industrial services or contractor-managed execution environments in Foster Creek and surrounding area is an asset
  • Knowledge of legal land descriptions
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills required; intermediate to advanced experience preferred

Working Conditions

  • On-site in camp with client located in Foster Creek area
  • Schedule is 7-days on, 7-days off (crossover on Wednesday)
  • Shift patterns rotates days and nights (day shift, days off, night shift, days off)
  • Must have own transportation to get to and from client’s site
  • Travel to in-field locations will be required
  • Overtime required with ability to answer client requests as needed during shift
